Ken Paiva is a retired Engineer/Operations-Program Leader, whose 40+ year career provided some interesting insights into people and world situations. Ken started his career working as a civilian for the Navy and was part of the team that validated the first submarine-based Tomahawk Cruise Missile Systems. While he traveled the globe in this role, he hoped to establish roots and start a family, so he shifted gears from “missiles to medicine”. He became part of a software development team working on one of the first Proton Treatment Planning Systems for visualizing and effectuating the dosing of Proton beam radiation treatment plans. Ken finished his career as part of the Management and Operations team for General Electric Digital Software, where he worked for 22 years.
